RIC's functions & services can be summarized mainly as follows:

Certification : RIC approves member admission strictly in accordance with

the requirements provided by the By-law.

Member regulation: In order to enhance confidence of the public and

consumers in immigration consulting industry, RIC regulates qualification,

performance and discipline standards for its members . RIC has its own

Rules of Professional Conduct, By-law, discipline system, and the consumer

complaint procedures. RIC also has requirements in purchasing professional

liability insurance and continuing professional development.

Member service: RIC's other member services mainly include 1) Promote

and advocate members' services collectively by advertising, and improve

image of RIC; 2) Organize seminars/conference; 3) Newsletters and other

communications; 4) Consultants Practice handbooks; 5) Deal collectively

with CIC and other authorities; 6) Group benefits; and 7) others.
